FAQ's

What is All Choice Energy, and what does it mean to be an “ESCO”?

All Choice Energy is a family-owned company focused on personal customer service and competitive pricing for electricity and natural gas supply for residential and business customers. As an ESCO (Energy Services Company), it is authorized in New York State to purchase and sell energy supply to customers who choose an alternative to their local utility.

If I switch to All Choice Energy, will my service be interrupted or will my utility company change?

No. Switching is a purely administrative change—there is no interruption of service. Your local utility still delivers the energy and handles outages and emergencies. In most cases, you’ll continue to receive one bill from your utility, and you’ll simply see All Choice Energy listed as your supplier on the supply portion of the bill.

What’s the difference between a fixed-rate plan and a variable-rate plan?

* Fixed Rate: your supply price stays the same for the term shown at enrollment.

* Variable Rate: your price may change month to month based on market conditions and other applicable factors. On All Choice Energy's website, it indicates that its New York variable plan includes at least 50% renewable energy.

What information do I need to enroll with All Choice Energy?

Typically, you’ll need basic information found on your utility bill, such as the account holder name, service address, utility name, and utility account number. Enrollment is subject to your utility’s eligibility requirements. For account security, you may also be asked to complete an identity/authorization verification (for example, providing an ID).

Can I end the contract? Are there early termination fees?

* Residential customers generally have the right to cancel without penalty until midnight of the third business day after receiving the agreement (rescission period).

* For variable-rate plans, the agreement indicates there is no early termination fee.

* For fixed-rate plans, an early termination fee may apply as described in your enrollment materials (with limits stated in the agreement). The agreement also notes that savings are not guaranteed unless specifically offered in writing.
